Locking Servers
Management
By default, each server in EasyDCIM platform can be managed by the administrator. You can use the ‘Locked’ feature to block some functions. It will lock such functionalities as:
- operating system installation
- the end of operating system installation
- ‘Activate’, ‘Suspend’, ‘Unsuspend’ as well as ‘Terminate’ actions performed for a given device in EasyDCIM
- ‘Boot’, ‘Reboot’ and ‘Shutdown’ actions
In order to block the above actions, navigate to the edit form of the device and find the ‘Additional Information’ tab. Set ‘Yes’ to the ‘Locked’ function. Once you do this, both the administrator and the client will not be able to perform the actions listed above.
